Mr. John Joseph Hoey has been the President of Beneficial Capital Corp. of New York, an investment company since 1977. Mr. Hoey co-founded Quondam-Aquila AG in January 2004 and Tethys Oil AB in 2001. He co-founded Quondam Partners, an association of independent financial markets experts in 2003 and has served as a Managing Director and member of the executive committee since its inception. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hondo Oil & Gas Company, a publicly quoted oil and gas company, from December 1, 1993 until it was merged into Lonmin Plc. (UK) on December 23, 1998. He also served as the President or Managing Director of each of Hondo Oil & Gas Company ‘s subsidiaries including Hondo Magdalena Oil & Gas. From 1985 to 1992, he was associated with Atlantic Petroleum Corp. of Pennsylvania, including serving as President of Atlantic Refining and Marketing Corp. until its sale to Sun Co. in November 1988 and Atlantic Fuels Marketing Corp. (formerly Ultramar Petroleum Inc.) From 1972 to 1984, Mr. Hoey held various executive positions in international banking and investment banking in Saudi Arabia,England and the USA with Arab and American Financial Institutions. From 1967 to 1971, he served in the U. S. Department of State in Saigon, South Vietnam. From 1961 to 1967, he worked as a Manufacturing Engineer in the United States and Europe. He has been Chairman of Mundoro Capital Inc. and Mundoro Mining Inc. since July 2009. He co-founded Vietnam Holding Ltd. and served as its Vice Chairman.
Mr. Hoey received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Harvard University (1972).
